Mental Health and Wellbeing of our students
We are delighted to be taking part in Jigsaw’s ‘One Good School’ to support the mental health and wellbeing of our students.
We cannot underestimate the vital role that schools play in supporting youth mental health and the long-term impact that positive school experiences can have on the lives of young people. We hope that our participation in Jigsaw’s One Good School initiative will support the school community to achieve better mental health outcomes for young people. The One Good School has representatives from school leadership, school staff, students and parent(s)/guardian(s).
Goals of Terenure College ‘One Good School’:
To develop an environment where people are comfortable to talk about their mental health and wellbeing.
Be open to feedback from all the school community.
Build students, school staff, school leadership and parents/guardians awareness around mental health and wellbeing.
Promote positive mental health and wellbeing in the school.
Work towards Gold One Good School Award.
At Terenure College, we believe that mental health and wellbeing is everyone’s responsibility.
