Darkness into Light

Since 2022, the college community has come together annually for the ‘Darkness into Light’ event, a poignant initiative organised and spearheaded by the sixth-year students. With a mission to raise awareness and offer support for those impacted by suicide and self-harm, this event serves as a powerful platform for reflection, solidarity, and healing. Beyond its noble cause, it provides a wonderful opportunity for the community to unite, share experiences, and offer mutual support. Following the event, we hope you can join us for tea, coffee, and refreshments, fostering connections and strengthening the bond within the college family.

This year we again wish to invite you, as part of the Terenure College Community, to take part in our Darkness into Light event. We hope you and your family will join with us in the college on the morning of Saturday May the 11th for the most important sunrise of the year to help us raise awareness, hope and funds for Pieta House.

This now annual Darkness into Light will take place on the Terenure College grounds. We the 6th year students are proud to lead it

Please click here or on the link below (Step 1: Register) to register and join us on May 11th. Suggested donations for those taking part: €5 per student, €25 per adult. Once registered please click here to donate to Darkness into Light (Pieta House)

Donations can also be made by cash or card on the day. Students can also register and donate in school. This can be done at the desk in the new wing each day at morning break and lunch time.

If you cannot take part on Saturday May 11th but would like to donate please click here:

Please join us in this global act of solidarity for people affected by suicide and self harm by sharing in a sunrise moment and donating if you can. Together, we can create a global sunrise moment and join together to be the light against the dark.

Many thanks on behalf of the 6th Year Students and all involved.
