"LAKE WILDLIFE WALK"

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new "LAKE WILDLIFE WALK".
We developed this walk as part of the "Environmental and Heritage" aspect of our 150th Anniversary Celebrations during the academic year 2009/2010.
In March 2009 we commissioned Brian Keeley and Donna Mullen of www.wildlifesurveys.net to carry out an Ecological Survey of the College and devise the Lake Wild Life Walk and a Biodiversity Action Plan. Our thanks to Donna and Brian who did such a wonderful job.
Terenure College would also like to thank Greenstar for their generous support and sponsorship of our Lake Wildlife Walk.
Greenstar is Ireland’s largest recycling company and is committed to supporting community programmes that dovetail with our goals of enhancing our natural environment.

Greenstar itself undertakes a wide range of nature projects to support flora and fauna projects in and around its 26 sites in Ireland. We look forward to the continued development of the Lake Wildlife Walk and successful implementation of the College’s Biodiversity Action Plan.
Copies of the "LAKE WILDLIFE WALK" and WORKSHEETS can be downloaded here and are also available from the College Reception during school opening times. * LAKE WILDLIFE WALK WORKSHEETS
