Terenure College Chapel Renovation Appeal

In October 2017 we will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the opening of the College Chapel. Sixty years is a milestone in the history of any building but most importantly a building that is at the heart of the Terenure College Campus. The Chapel is a focal point for many of us – Carmelites, pupils, parents, past pupils and friends, providing hope, comfort and togetherness. For the past sixty years it has been a centre of prayer, community and service for the whole comunity.

This summer our beautiful Chapel will be renovated and major works will be carried out including: External damp proofing of walls and brickwork; complete electrical overhaul; repainting entire chapel and installation of new organ.

To fund these essential renovations, a few weeks ago Terenure College launched the Chapel Renovation Appeal. We contacted all our friends and supporters to ask them to help us reach our fundraising target of €450,000.

So far the response to our Appeal has been very encouraging. We thank all our friends and supporters – parents and past pupils who have responded very generously to our Appeal and have already made their donation of €120. Your donation, support and goodwill is much appreciated and is making a big difference to our Fundraising.

Your support is key to the success of this Appeal. If everybody plays their part and donates the €120 we will achieve our goal.

All of us together - €120 x 3750 = €450,000

If you have not yet made your donation, I ask that you consider doing so. Full details and payment options are on the website – www.terenurecollegechapel.ie

Again I thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

Work will begin in early June and be completed towards the end of August. During this time the Chapel will be closed  but we will continue to have Daily and Sunday Mass in the College Canteen. I hope the next few weeks go well for us all.
