EQUESTRIAN

We had excellent participation from the Students this year. Our Show Jumping Team competed in one of the Inter-Schools Competitions. Stephen Nuding won the Individual Novice Class. Marius Wheatley won the 1m class on the day. Unlucky not to have been in the final Jump Off  the Team  put in an excellent performance while representing Terenure College. Many complimentary comments were received about our Team performance and especially the turn out of our lads and their horses which they worked hard to achieve.

Inter Schools Show Jumping Team Members were Owen Keogh, Eoin Mitchell, Stephen Nuding, Niall Rushe and Marius Wheatley.
 
Fifth Year, Marius Wheatley,  has got the big break that he deserves and is now going on to train with a Professional Show Jumping Yard run by an ex Terenure Man.  Hopefully we will one day see Marius wearing the green jacket for Ireland like his Trainer!
 
We have had good interest from the First Years who attended the Lessons at Calliagstown Equestrian Centre during the year. There is real potential and interest in Equestrian Sports and with luck on our side (maybe even St Jude!) next time we may bring home even more prizes!
