Scholars are elected after showing "exceptional knowledge and understanding" of their subjects and are chosen on the basis of exam results from the Hillary term.

Gavin Cheung (2009): Theoretical Physics  (Gavin is also this years’ Toronto Scholar meaning that he got the highest result out of anyone who sat schools in all disciplines this year).
