As you will be aware over the last 18 months the Carmelite Order has been working on the development of a Strategic Plan for Terenure College.

Central to this process was consultation with the many stakeholders in the College, including teachers, staff, parents, present and past pupils and members of the Irish Province of Carmelites.

The level and quality of contributions were extremely helpful, as well as being very encouraging. We are most grateful to all who contributed in any way.

We are now launching the Strategic Plan for Terenure College which is available to download from the College website www.terenurecollege.ie.

With this plan we wish to reiterate the commitment of the Carmelite Order in Ireland to the continuation of its presence at Terenure College and to the provision of Catholic education.

The Mission of Terenure College is to provide a Catholic education for boys in the Carmelite tradition. Our Strategic Plan aims to ensure the continuation and success of this Mission. It presents an achievable vision for the future of Terenure College over the next decade and beyond.

At the core of our plan there are 10 key decisions, with associated key actions, responsibilities and indicative timescales.

A Strategic Planning Implementation Group will oversee the implementation of the Plan, working with a number of sub-committees and sub-groups.
